Orlando travel advice
I have mislaid the original thread ... But have a printed copy somewhere which I remain grateful to all for tips.

Am now booked and ready for travel in about 7 weeks but have the parks to choose and book before going. So as I make my final plans any further recent advice for a trip with 3 kids between 9 and 13 most welcome including what to avoid!

Back after 2 weeks away and big thanks for advice

I chose so well with the time I chose and temperature and queue times worked so well. The kids loved the trip and we did so much ... Am sure they will have so many memories long after I am gone.

Thanks to all for feedback

Johnny....I landed back from there a few days ago, first time back out there since a 12 year gap!

What can I say it's as good as ever. Universal, islands of adventure, sea world are all fantastic. I thought the Disney parks have gone down hill over 100 dollars to get in and hardly any different to what they were the last time I visited. Very disappointed.

All of the advice on here is spot on the problem you'll have is getting it all done! So much to do so much to see and no where near enough time to do it all.

A couple of decent places to eat are Chevys for some Mexican cuisine and fudruckers for an awesome burger! If you want a really nice steak then Charley's is a good shout but not cheap, the aligator starter is fantastic!

Whatever you do mate you will have a great time, I'm very jealous of you just about to fly out! Enjoy

Worth getting the 'wait times for Walt Disney world' app on your mobile, found it useful on my trip last year. Have a good time.

Also if you get to Epcot and go straight to Frozen, you'll get on it no problem, queues start about 10. Epcot is the best park, food and wine festival is on and it's great. Test track is improved now too, you can design your own vehicle and see how it performs.

Thunder mountain closed for rebuild. Space mountain down most of this afternoon. Get to seven dwarfs first on magic before the queues.

If you're doing the water parks, typhoon lagoon is great fun.

Re: Orlando travel advice
I'll second NS' s MK fast pass choices and comments 're the fireworks.

if you can get there absolutely first thing then head straight for splash mountain. you should be able to do that and thunder mountain a few times before it packs out and use the fast passes for something else. MK is a special place but you can probably get it done in a couple of days

universal is cracking. keep an eye out for the single rider lanes. jumped on a few good rides quite quickly whilst Mrs sarge and the little ones were doing Dr Seuss world.

can't remember which of the two parks it's in but the Harry potter ride in the castle is great. if you need to cool down the Popeye rapids is worth doing. you'd be drier swimming.
